Family vs. Wild

Okay so it really wasn't the wild. It is the wooded area behind our home, but I like to jazz it up a bit and call it the wild so the kids think we are on some cool adventure. We have been walking Jed through the "wild" lately. We can let him off his leash and he can run like a crazy dog everywhere. Plus, the kids run and pretend they are survivor man/girl and pretend to attack animals aka Dad and Mom. We had to come up with some way to enjoy walks, since we can't walk to close to the raging river. The "wild" is the next best thing. Parker found a baby cobra on our walk. It is NOT a baby cobra, but for some reason he really wanted it to be, so we just went along with it. He grabbed a stick and was wrangling it and trying to pick it up by the mouth so it wouldn't bite him, it seriously looked like some nature show and he was using the stick just like the adventure guys do on the show. It was awesome. We were impressed. He may be famous some day and have his own show called, "Parker in the Wild" or "PK vs. The Baby Cobra." You never know.
Yep, that is me holding the snake. Spiders scare the living *&%$#* out of me, but for some reason snakes don't. It is weird I know, because seriously snakes are creepy. I mean they move fast and they don't have legs. That is weird. Parker and his baby cobra aka smallest water snake ever.

Slithering off.

Then we saw a stink bug. Yep, bum in the air and everything. Ava thought these were hilarious and would laugh hysterically at them. Good thing we didn't get to experience the stinking part of the stink bug.

Well, that is our segment of Family vs. Wild. Hope you enjoyed the show.
