Mini Splash Pad

Yeah for warm weather!  Aunt Lindsey gave Ava this little splash pad for her birthday.  The girls begged me for two days straight to play with it.  It was a big hit.

The girls loved playing outside, now they are begging to put the big pool up.

To Our Ava Baby

Miss Ava,

You are now a big girl.  Our 3 year old.  When people ask how old you are you still say two. If it were up to your Mom I would keep you two. 

You are our ray of sunshine.  Our little skishy puff.  Our Peanut.  Our Stinker Butt.  Our baby. 

Watching you grow up this past year has been quite the scene.  You are still SUPER NAUGHTY.  You keep our entire family on their toes. You are always into something and always making messes.

You seem not to care when I "bust" you being bad, you just laugh or give me your pouty lip and big tears start rolling down your cheeks.  Of course, I am a sucker for your smile and your pout.  You tend to get away with a lot!! 

Dad always says, "If she wasn't so darn cute!"  We all agree. 

You are loving so many things right now...Yo Gabba Gabba is your favorite show and Foofa is your favorite character on the show, you still have a special place in your heart for Elmo, Dora is still a fave as well.  You love to dance and dress up.  You love all kinds of animals, especially dogs, meow meows, horses, cows and chickens.  You want a "ferm" aka farm to play on.  Your favorite food is all vegetables and fruit.  You are obsessed with popsicles.  OBSESSED.  You think you need to eat 20+ a day.  It drives your Mom and Dad bonkers!

You love your Bubba and your Hannah.  You follow them everywhere.  You drive them crazy, you destroy their rooms, you jump on them, scream at them, hit them, but you also give them big skishy kisses and lots and lots of hugs.  You are always concerned about them and wondering where they are.  You love your Mom.  I call you Clone.  Because you are Mom's mini me.  You follow me everywhere and ask me about 100 times a day, "Where you go Mom?  I go wiff you."  You are always wanting me to hold you and give you snuggles.  You are definitely one of the best snugglers.

You also love your Daddy and you have him wrapped around your little finger.  You get so excited when he comes home from work.  Daddy is your go to guy when Mom is being "so mean."  He rescues you and gives you whatever you want. But, that is how it should be. 

Ava, Mom and Dad love you beyond words.  We could list a million things we love about our baby girl....your smile, your laugh, your wispy hair, your knock knees, your chubby feet, the dimples on your little chubby rear, your "prettys" aka nail polished fingers, your mad face and angry brow, your vampire teeth...see we could go on and on and on. 

We love you sweet girl.  Every little bit of you.  We are so excited to watch you grow up.  We know you will do amazing things.  Our wish for you Birthday Girl is to be happy, to smile, to love who you are, to be what you want to be and to never give up on your dreams!

Ava Had a Birthday!!

On May 18, 2012 our Miss Ava turned 3!!  She requested a Yo Gabba Gabba Birthday, Foofa Cake and Lots and Lots of presents.  She loved every minute of her Birthday.  

Who has two thumbs and loves her Birthday?  This girl!

Of course she got spoiled!  A new horn for her bike from Papa and Grammie Olson.  New Baby dolls from Uncle Dan and Aunt Beth.

Papa and Grammie Smith got her a bubble machine.  She was so excited.

Yep, she is still opening presents...she got a load of them.

Our Miss Ava loves her Uncle Ryan.  She ran and gave him a big hug after she opened his gift.

Parker and Hannah gave Ava paints and paper.  As you can tell she loved them.  You can also tell how happy Hannah was that Ava loved her gift.

She loved her cake.  She wouldn't stop pointing at it and saying, "Mom my Birthday Cake.  Mom this my cake.  My Foofa."

Ava is still struggling to make her little chubby fingers do "three."  And of course we have to do crazy faces.

She couldn't wait any longer, she just had to paint.

We surprised Ava and got her a slide.  She was loving it.

I had to snap a few pictures of the party decor.

We topped the night off playing with the bubble machine!

I asked Ava if she had fun at her party and she gave me a thumbs up.

Hannah's Kindergarten Graduation

On May 18, 2012 our Little Hannah Banana graduated from Kindergarten.  I was still shocked that she was even in Kindergarten.  She has grown so much this year.  She has started reading and loves it.  Whoever will listen, she will read to them.  She mastered her letter writing, she started doing math and has realized she doesn't mind it.  She made tons of new friends and enjoyed every minute of school.  She is excited for first grade and is a little nervous to be away from Mom all day, but can't wait to eat lunch at school.  We are so proud of you sweet Hannah.

 The Kindergarten graduation program is the best!  The songs are adorable.
