Groovy Baby Groovy

We had a craft day last week and headed to the craft store for some inspiration.  The kids chose to tye-dye shirts.  They were thrilled, it was messy, but really fun.  We decided to dye our shirts while Ava was snoozing.  The kids did a great job!
We put rubberbands on the shirts and we were ready to go.
Parker had a plan on what he was going to do.
Hannah had no plan and just started squirting colors everywhere.
They had tons of fun.  Parker kept saying, "It is like we are ruining our clothes and you don't care." Ha Ha.

The kids really had fun with this project and it definitely showed their creativity and their personalities.  I tye-dyed a little tank top for Ava too.
Here they are in their hippie creations.  They loved them and wore them for a few days straight.
Wearing their matching t's and eating yummy snowcones. Love these kids!

Just Keep Swimming

Sometimes I wonder if it is worth putting the big pool up and keeping up with the maintenance, but when I see kids laughing, splashing and having tons of fun, I know it is worth all the work!  Summer is all about swimming, playing and having no worries!
Olivia, Parker, Carter, Violet, Hannah and Chase having tons and tons of fun in the pool!
 Making our own wave pool.

I got in the pool a little later and I honestly believe the kids were out to drown me.  Little Monsters.  Good thing they are all so cute!

A Quick Trip to Del Boca Vista

We headed to Del Boca Vista for a really quick camping trip.  Even though it was only for one night, we still had a great time and of course the kids didn't want to come home.  They would live there if I let them.
Papa Olson put out a bucket of water and a salt lick for the deer, this doe was taking advantage of the free goods and came over to our camp.
The kids loved watching the deer.
Parker is showing me how a deer runs.  It was hilarious!
Getting ready to go for a four wheeler ride.  You must always wear a helmet.  Safety punkin safety.
I think Carter is excited to go for a ride.
And of course you can't go to Del Boca Vista without playing on the swingset for hours and hours.  Hannah's new thing is hanging upside down.  She said she has to close her eyes so she doesn't get sick.
Ava loves to swing.
Carter is into hanging upside down too.  Nothing like the blood rushing to your head and making you dizzy.
Ava is getting pretty daring too and is constantly wanting to hang on these bars.
Uncle Ryan helped Parker build a firepit for one of his Cub Scout projects.  Parker also had to light the fire and get it going.
Success!!
The fire builders.  Thanks Ry for helping our PK.
Chillin on the Four Wheelers.
Me and my Skishy Puff.  This girl loves to ride the wheeler.
Carter and Hannah just hanging out.
We had a pretty good rain storm with lots of lightning.  The lightning started a fire down in the valley.  We hiked up the mountain to take a look and get some pictures.
It is very purdy at Del Boca Vista.
I was looking every where for Ava and I kept calling her name, finally I heard "WHAT!?" and I looked under Papa and Grammies trailer and she was just hanging out with Jed.  I guess it is the new hangout.
Of course we can't go camping without shooting our BB guns.  The target this time, was this sneaky chipmunk that keeps trying to get in the motorhome.
Our little camping girl.
The kids were positive that this tree was going to fall on us.
Ava and her Papa.  She loves him so much.
On our way home PK was washing his legs and feet and he was showing me the difference between a clean wipey and the dirty one.  GROSS!
Ava is the worst to drive with in the car.  She absolutely hates her carseat and usually yells the whole time.  It is horrible!!  To keep her quiet I gave her three suckers.  It worked.  Hallelujah!
We can't wait to go back to Del Boca Vista!

Out for a Stroll to the Park

The kids have been begging and begging to go to the park.  We decided to head on over because the weather was perfect and I knew the slides wouldn't be too hot for them to play on.  We took the bike trail and headed off.
Carter and Hannah on their way.

Our girls are slow as turtles.  I'm always the one left behind walking with the girls.  Oh how we love them.
I told the girls to run or we would get left behind.  This picture cracks me up, love Ava's face and hair.
Carter has crazy hair because he swam in the pool all day.  Love it!
Ava was so cautious of all the slides, bridges and ladders.  She was so funny.
 Hannah flying down the slide.
Ava finally got up enough nerve to cross the bridge by herself.
Hannah aka Pinkalicious.  That girl loves pink!
 Carter aka Spiderman
Parker was so excited that we went and played on the playground at his school.  He was telling Carter and Hannah all about the fun things to do.
 Playing on the slides.
Then we went to the other playground and Ava loved that it was smaller and just right for her.

Love cool summer evenings at the park.
