Little Things

I grabbed a box of cereal this morning for the kiddies and I found this little note written on the box.  Thank you Miss Hannah for this sweet note.  Little things like this make me so happy to be a mom.

I Climb Mom.

Miss Ava is a climber.  She will climb anything.  She tells me daily, "I climb Mom."  I always walk run to find her when I hear that.  Her favorite thing to do is climb on top of her car.  The only problem is that she can't climb down, wait she probably can climb down she just likes to scream, "Mom help you.  Mom help you!!!" at the top of her lungs so I run to her.  I think I am getting played by a 2 year old.   I probably get her off the top of the car 10+ times a day.

She thinks she is so clever and funny.  Little stinker!

PPPOOONNNCCCHHHOOO!

I yelled Pppooonnnccchhhooo in Nacho Libre's voice.  Grammie and Papa Olson got Hannah this poncho for Christmas.  At first she was hesitant to wear it.  She thought it was weird, but after telling begging her to wear it, she finally agreed.  Of course she loved it and wore it 3 days in a row to school.  She said all the girls in her class said, "Hannah S. I love that gray sweater."  (there is another little girl named Hannah in her class.)  She told me she would tell them, "Girls it is not just a sweater it is a poncho."

Silly, Cute Girl!

Purplicious

Our baby is getting big, okay I'm in denial she is not a baby any more and she is big.  Sad.  Miss Ava has decided that she loves purple, which she calls, "Pupple."  Her favorite toy is "Backpack" that Papa and Grammie Olson gave her for Christmas and since Backpack is Pupple, she must always wear Pupple.  Man, I love this kid.
She is just like her Dad, she can NEVER take a normal picture.  She always has to have her tongue out, making a silly face, not looking at all or giving me a huge crusty face.

She always kneels on the bench to eat, I had to snap a pic of her cute little feet.
Look, I almost got a normal smile, AWESOME!
Love this purplicious girlie of ours.

Ava + Markers=Blue Hands

WHY?!?!?!?!?!? On a daily basis I hide the markers.  On a daily basis I tell Parker and Hannah to not get out the markers from their hiding spot when the 2 year old is awake.  But, every few days the 2 year old strikes, she finds the markers or the other two kids leave them out.  It drives me crazy!  Like, seriously crazy!  I wouldn't mind if Ava actually colored on paper or in a coloring book, but NO she has to color on herself.  The worst part is that after she has colored the palms of her hands a lovely shade, she usually licks them and then wipes her hands on her face. Grrr.
Nice face.  Maybe she has licked to much marker and she is getting a little woosie.

The other bad part is that she doesn't even care when she gets in trouble.  She thinks it is hilarious, which of course makes me so mad!  She just walks off like she owns the joint and she gives me this look over her shoulder like, "You can eat it mom I own you."

Nose

On Saturday we went for a 3 mile walk/jog.  The kids were troopers and came along.  They were riding scooters and taking turns riding in the stroller when they got cold or their legs got tired.  We only had one accident that day.  Miss Hannah rode her scooter on a patch of ice on the bike trail and face planted it.  Her poor little nose broke her fall.  There was lots of tears and lots of blood.  It swelled up pretty good, but luckily we don't think she broke it and she didn't get any black eyes.  She was so brave and was playing and being crazy by the end of the day.
You can't tell that good, but her nose is really swollen and for some reason she got this big red mark right across the top of her nose.  I am wondering if when she fell, her little nose turned up like a piggies and it bent it that way.  Poor thing.

At the Smith house dum dum suckers make everything better.
Happy to say Hannah's nose looks a ton better and the red mark is almost completely gone.

Boxen & Bin

Our girls are silly.  It is amazing how a cardboard box and a plastic bin can entertain kids for so long.  Whenever I let the kids play with them, they get so creative and excited.  The girls were playing "drive in movie" this time.  They wouldn't stop laughing the entire time.

I'm loving the fact that these two girlies are becoming best of friends.  I was worried because of the age difference, but Hannah is such an awesome big sister and loves to include Ava in everything she does.  Ava of course LOVES every minute she gets to spend with "her Hannah."

Easily Entertained

Ava (of course shirtless again) is always easily entertained, that is one thing of MANY that I love about this little girlie of mine.  I can give her a piece of paper and she would play with it for a good hour.  So, when she came across the pieces to the game Trouble, she immediately was enthralled by them.  They went right onto her little chubby fingers and she was super excited!

She was pretty proud of herself.
She kept saying, "Mom, Yook.  Yook at Aba's fin-gurs."

Every day this little girl makes me laugh hysterically.  She is talking more and more and she is constantly doing hilarious things.

WWF Smith Family Style

Lisa, David and Emma came down for the weekend and of course our children were thrilled!  They were so excited to see their cousins.  The kids played basketball, watched movies, played the Wii, dressed up and wrestled and wrestled and wrestled.  Lots of wrestling means lots of laughing.  These kids are hilarious!
Doggy pile on Parker.  Oh and yes that is Ava without a shirt on.  Heaven forbid that kid wears clothes the whole entire day.
Ava was totally into the wrestling.  She would run and jump on the boys knocking the wind out of them.  It was flippin' hilarious.
It looks like the girls are winning!
See?!  Ava runs and jumps, she is crazy!
Good thing all the kids think she is cute and hilarious.  They were just allowing her to beat them up.

Playing outside in January

Our weather has been very different this year.  I looked back at pictures last year during this time and we had a ton of snow, this year NO snow and temps in the 45-50 range!  50! Crazy!  The kids have been enjoying playing outside a little.  Bike and Scooter rides and some afternoon walks to the school.  You watch though, we will get a ton of snow in February and March and have a short summer again.  Boo to that!
I let Ava play outside one afternoon while PK and Han were at school.  She loved it.
Riding her Princess Scooter.
She insisted that she shovel.  Bless her heart I guess she really wants some snow to play in.
All smiles cause Mom is letting her play outside.
Crazy Face!
Cute little cheeser! Love this babe and her little velcro shoes.
Jed has also been enjoying the weather.  Lots of walks and playing catch.  I am sure he doesn't want cold weather or snow to come cause then Mom hibernates inside and the walks go bye bye.

2nd Christmas

We left our house Christmas Morning in disaster mode.  Oh man, it was a mess. I took a few pictures of the house before we headed out to my parents.  We were going to their house for what I call "2nd Christmas"  Lots of food, lots of gifts and lots of laughs.  The kids were so excited to go see Carter and spend the day playing.
Jed slept and walked around half the morning with this blue balloon stuck to him.
Here is the big mess we left.  Oh.My.Goodness.
At my parents we all gathered downstairs to open gifts.  My mom made each of the kids an "I Spy" quilt.  The kids love them!
Ava sat on her quilt and opened gifts.
Papa and Grammie got Ava some dress up clothes, she was super excited.

Parker was so excited because Papa and Grammie got him the "Witch Doctor"  He has been wanting this for a long time.
Hannah has the Bieber Fever.  Look at her eyes, I think she is super excited over this nightgown.

Ava got a Dora Backpack.  She LOVES it.  She sleeps with it every night.
Ryan and Lindsey helping Ava with her dress ups.
This picture cracks me up!  She was saying, "Cheese."  So Funny!
 You look Beautiful Miss Ava.
Showing me all her toys.
 Ry and Jas hanging out.
We watched a little SNL.  Good times.
Of course we put together Legos.
 Hannah was in Barbie heaven.
 Pringles for Lunch. Yummy.
Grammie Olson went and got her Barbies that she played with when she was little. Hannah was loving it. She couldn't stop smiling.
Miss Ava being silly with Timber.  She calls her, "Pimer."
 Me and my babe snuggling.
All tuckered out after playing so hard all day.  We had a great Christmas!  We feel so blessed to have such awesome families and are so thankful for them!
