Christmas Day!

Christmas Day at the Smith's was wonderful. It was a relaxing morning and the kids, minus Ava were happy and laughing. They were so excited that Santa had come.
Ava on the other hand was stomping, yelling and freaking out over the Christmas paper. She was not to happy that we woke her up early. She slowly came out of it though, when she started getting presents.
I think these kids got SPOILED.

I loved our Christmas tree this year.
The stockings stuffed to the brim.
Santa was definitely at our house this year.
Parker got a phonecall from Santa this Christmas and Santa told him that he liked Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches, so Parker left one for him. It looks like Santa enjoyed it.
Hannah thought it was hilarious that Santa ate the gingerbread mans arm and leg. Hannah said, "I thought for sure he would eat his head." haha
Ready to come down to check out the presents.
Stocking time.

Ava loved the harmonica that Santa gave her. She was playing us some tunes all morning.
There were two things that Hannah really wanted this year, a unicorn pillow pet and the Barbie motorhome. Can you see how happy she is that Santa delivered the pillow pet?
Parker and Hannah were so good to help Ava open her presents.
Ava got a piano and she was super excited. She was clapping and standing on the box.
Parker and his plasma ball. He was thrilled.
Hannah started screaming when she opened the Barbie motorhome, she could barely contain herself. She kept yelling, "He got it for me. Santa got it for me!"
The one thing that Parker really wanted this year was the Lego Hero Factory Furno Bike. He was also screaming and jumping around when he opened this present.
Hannah playing with the Barbie Motorhome and the Barbie nurse set she got. She was in barbie heaven.
Parker building his new legos.
Jason right in on the action as well. These two love Legos.
Our after picture. The kids have loved playing with their toys!
We then headed to Papa and Grammie Olson's later that day.
For what I will call "2nd Christmas."
Parker and Carter and their nerf guns. Hannah got one too, so she could defend herself against the boys.
Ava and her new doggie pull toy. She loves this thing and thinks it is hilarious.
Hannah got the Blythe Littlest Pet Shop from Papa and Grammie, she was thrilled.
Ryan sporting the viking hat. I just realized he was holding a pocket knife in his hand. Don't mess with a man wearing a viking hat!
Carter in his "How to trian your Dragon" viking gear. He looked great! He takes his viking job very seriously.
Ava playing with her new barn. She loves all the animals.
Parker and his new Transformer race car.
We had a great Christmas day. WE ALL GOT SPOILED!! We ate sooo much yummy food and just enjoyed spending time together!
We can't believe Christmas is already over. The kids already told me that they can't wait for next year!

It is this Mr.'s Birthday today!!
He is a whoppin' 34!

Christmas Eve

For Christmas Eve this year we headed to Papa and Grammie Olson's.
The kids were so excited they could barely stand it.
We had a yummy dinner of greasy tacos. YUM.
Then of course we kept eating Grammies yummy toffee and peanut brittle.
After eating and eating, we opened some gifts!
Here we are waiting patiently for the gift opening to begin.
Me and Skishy Puff.
Ava loved sitting on Nana's lap and reading stories.
Linz, Hanny and Ava cheesing it for the camera.
Every time Ava would open a gift she wanted it out of the packaging right away. If we had to take it and open it, she pulled this face. She looks like she is so sad and distraught. Poor thing.
I made the kids these little monsters. They loved them.
Still opening gifts.
Parker was so excited because Aunt Lindsey got him the rest of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books.
Ava LOVED this blow up ball thingy that Nana got her. It was probably her favorite gift she received that night.
Carter opening our gifts to him.
Ava finally less stressed and having fun.
Hannah received the Toy Story 3 Barbie from Carter. She flipped out. She has been wanting that Barbie since the movie came out in theaters.
Sporting the Christmas bow.
Papa, Grammie and Nana just hanging out.
Ava just had to try on Hanny's new glass (plastic) slippers that Hannah got from Lindsey.
Drea and Lindsey taking a little snooze.
Christmas Eve was so relaxing and fun.
We had a great time!

Dancing with Daddy

Our girls are the biggest Daddy's girls. They love Jason to pieces. They are constantly sitting on him, hugging him, giving him kisses, wanting him to read them stories, but their favorite thing to do with Daddy is...Dance.
These two little princesses love to dance on the kitchen floor with their dad.
They giggle the whole time.
Jas is a fabulous dad and doesn't mind one bit dancing with his girls.

Just One More Time

We decided to take the kids to go see the Festival of Lights in our town one more time before Christmas. We got them all buckled in and then we surprised them and went and got pizza before we left. They were all so excited to eat pizza in the car and drive through the lights.
They were laughing and telling Jason and I, "This is the best."
Nothing like "Ghetto Pizza."
Ava enjoying her slice of pizza.
Parker and Hannah chowing down.
Cutie Skish

The girls enjoying the lights.
Jason and Parker, all smiles.

The kids added this to our Christmas tradition list. They can't wait until we get to have pizza in the car and enjoy the lights again.
