Dear Germs,

I am writing you this letter to tell all of you to....LEAVE MY FAMILY ALONE!! I think we have had our fair share of illnesses this winter. I know that winter is not over yet, but seriously could you spare us for the rest of the winter. Since December we have had sinus infections, ear infections and bronchitis. This week you have inflicted on my two kids strep throat and sinus infections. If, I in any way get sick with these illnesses, I may have to hurt someone. I have just about had it. I only have so much sanity left and it is wearing thin. So, I am asking, no pleading and begging....NO MORE!!! I can't handle it any more. My lack of sleep is really catching up to me and people are starting to think I speak a different language because my speech is slurring due to no sleep. It is getting old and I am getting MAD!! Please just skip our family and move on.

Thanks,
Kristin

p.s. If you refuse to leave us alone germs, a can of lys*l and cl*rox everywhere is waiting for you.

Giving Birth Gifts

With this next baby, I am going to start a new tradition...that I think should happen whenever any woman gives birth to a child. They should get a "Giving Birth Gift." Yeah, I know that the bundle of (bald, squishy face, cuteness) Joy should be the greatest gift (which of course it is), but you know I was thinking the other day....I have to carry this Bundle Of Joy for 9 months, which is not the easiest 9 months of "my" life (maybe yours) and then I go through labor which who knows if it is going to be good or bad and then I have to feed the BOFJ all hours of the night, so I think I should have a "Giving Birth Gift" to really help me relax, be comfy and get me through this process. I may sound selfish, but I don't think it is asking to much, I mean come on I am making a little miracle here, a human. Which if you really think about a human carrying a human..it is a little freaky. But so forth, this is the "Giving Birth Gift" that I want. I can picture myself in it right now, can't you my dear sweet husband???? If it makes you feel any better, I will picture you sitting in it and watching football, while you are holding the baby of course.
I am clicking my heels right now and saying to myself, "There is no place like sitting in a comfy recliner....There is no place like sitting in a comfy recliner."
Here is to my new tradition that I am going to start! "Giving Birth Gifts" are the new thing people, pass it on!!!

This Would Come in Handy

So after a week worth of antibiotics, getting a shot that hurt my thigh and cough medicine...oh and staying in bed or on the couch constantly, you would think I was better right???? WRONG! So, I went back into the doc today and good news is that my bronchitis is gone, I don't have pneumonia, but I do have a MASSIVE sinus infection that is making my eyes, ears, throat, etc. feel like it is going to explode. I think I have blown my nose over 500 times this past week, no lie. The doc has no idea why the antibiotic didn't kill the sinus infection...she said it was a very strong, extreme infection...like a Hulk Infection. What? My nose looks like rudolph, my eyes are watering and I am blowing my nose and hacking my brains out. I look crazy. But man, that toilet paper dispenser would be so handy right now, all I would have to do is reach up and pull, instead of yelling, "Who has my tissues, where is my tissues, can someone get me my tissues?"
When is spring supposed to be here????? Please come soon, please.

Ponytails

H is growing her hair out because she is big now. So, she says. I am having a hard time letting her grow up. I want her to be little, but she keeps telling me she is the big girl now and the baby is in my tummy. Tear. So forth, since her hair is getting longer, we are finding new ways to style it. She is obsessed with ponys. The more the better. Each morning I ask her, how many ponys do you want. She can choose 1-8. So, here she is styling 8 ponys, notice her lovely first picture. She loves it when mom takes her picture, can't you tell. Silly, fiesty girl.
I don't know if it is just me, but she is changing in her looks so much. She is looking older and different every week.

The Shaggy Dog

Should I call this neglect?? Our poor dog was having a really bad, shaggy hair day. He was in desperate need of a haircut. We just got busy with the Holidays and Koda's hair got forgotten. So after Christmas he went in for a good bath and haircut and when he came home....I didn't know who he was and if Jas had brought the right dog home. His hair is so short and he has so many spots. To me, he looks funny, but he seems to be happier.
So, here is his before:
And here is Koda's after picture:

Out Cold

P and H built a fort in the loft and brought every blanket, toy, pillow, book, etc. they could find inside the fort. They each set up there own rooms and were having a great time. I guess H felt right at home because about an hour into playing P informed me that H was out cold. I just had to get a picture because she was so comfy and snoring so loud. She slept there for almost 3 hours. She must have been exhausted from fort building.
Notice her mouth is open and tongue out. I swear this girl can't think, play, watch a movie, sleep, etc. without her tongue hanging out.

Meet Mr. Mucus...he is living in my lungs.

Oh yes, this nasty little green mucus man is living in my lungs right now and he WASN'T INVITED!!! I sneezed for a few days and felt tired and woke up tuesday morning to yucky lung. I thought to myself, I better go to the doc, because if any of you know me well enough, you know I get sick fast. So, I go and lo and behold I have bronchitis. Not surprised. But they are hopeful they caught it in time before it turned to pneumonia. UGH!! Come on...GIVE ME A BREAK!! So after a shot, cough medicine and antibiotics, I hope that we can kill Mr. Mucus for good. Let's just hope this cute little baby isn't being affected by her mommy's constant illnesses. Sorry little one, hopefully we can get rid of this nasty sickness and I can get back on track. GO AWAY MR. MUCUS!!...quote from Hanny, "You are ugly Mucus!!" Amen.

Playing on the Snow Hill

My parents received a whole lot more snow than we did last week and so the kids were itching to get over there. Papa made a hill for them to sled down and they were so excited. For some reason playing at Papa and Grammies house is so much for fun than your own. So here are a few pictures of my crazy little ones.....
P and his huge "ice sword"
H & P climbing the biggest snow hill ever (quote by H)
P just had a sweet ride down the hill
Go H!! She was in heaven!
I told H to make a snow monster face, this is what I got. Funny girl.
I love their faces in this picture. H is so casual and P is so concerned.
The Snow Princess!
P was building a snow fort when I took this pic. What a cute boy.
Thanks Papa for making the snow hill. The kids had a great time!

My Sweet Pink Bike

Isn't it Lovely? My parents (love you) bought me this SWEET PINKALICIOUS BIKE for Christmas!! I was completely surprised to say the least. They said they needed to "wheel" my gift out and I had to keep my eyes closed. I honestly thought it was going to be a crib, stroller, something like that and then I open my eyes and I behold....The Pink Roxie Schwinn!
Needless to say, I screamed like a little girl and cried. I know, cheesy right, but hey seriously I would have never bought me this. It was a wonderful Christmas. I just can't wait to ride it. If I can ride a bike still, I don't even know the last time it was that I went for a "real" bike ride. 1995? This could be scary. Watch out neighbors, here comes crazy Kristin on her bike.
"RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!"

Why No Pictures??

So, I know I haven't posted ANY pics for a while and there are two reasons for that...
1: I have been taking a ton of pics but I just haven't hooked the camera up to my computer and transfered them over. I will call that lazy.
2: If I stopped being lazy and hooked the camera up to the computer, I would get an error from my computer stating that it can't recognize my camera. I don't know what is wrong with it and of course I am not going to attempt to fix it.
So, when my dear hubby gets home from work he can work his "computer brain" magic and fix it for me and maybe, just maybe I will post some pics of what has been going on with my crazy/fun life.

On another note, we are doing well, I am FINALLY putting Christmas away. It has taken forever!! I just want my house CLEAN and non CLUTTER. Maybe, I am nesting???? Can you nest this early??? Who knows, maybe my house is a pigsty and I am sick of living like a pig. Yep, that could be it.
P & H are fabulous!! They are crazy, fun and way hyper, but you know that is what kids are supposed to be like, right? Please say yes. They are having some issues sleeping through the night and I am just PRAYING that this horrid habit breaks before the baby comes. Last night I slept on their floor, I must have been pretty exhausted to pass out on the hard floor. Let's just say I could barely walk this morning because my back and hips were screaming, "I hate you lady!"
So, yeah stay posted for some recent pictures of our crazy family. Hopefully, they will be up soon!!

Ultrasound.

So yesterday we had our ultrasound and everything went wonderful. Our baby is growing well and is healthy. Has all fingers and toes, a good heart, etc. We were so happy. I have been worried since I have had to take so many medications, but everything looked great!! We told the kids we were not finding out what mommy was having, to which I got this response from Parker, "That is stupid." Ok. Then Hannah started crying and said, "But I just have to know."
After much deliberation and going back and forth on whether we should "cave" and find out....WE DID! I must say not finding out with the first two was fun, but finding out this time was fun too!!
So.....

We are having a.....

GIRL!!!

We are having another Little Princess and we are so excited!!! I thought for sure it was a boy, so I was definitely surprised, as was Jason. Parker was a little bummed, but now he is just excited to play with her. Hannah looked right at Parker and said, "I told you it was a Dirl!!" (She can't say her G's) The kids are so excited and so are we. We feel so blessed to be able to have another little angel in our family. She is going to be so spoiled and loved so much. I just can't wait to meet her!!
