Tuesday Morgin, August 2nd we headed to the big ol' San Diego Zoo. I think the zoo might be as big as Utah County. Okay so maybe not that big, but seriously it is HUGE. I took like a gazillion pictures and looking back now I feel bad for our children, their mom was one of those crazy tourists that people probably make fun of. But, hey we got some good pics and we had tons of fun at the zoo!
The babes ready to go to the zoo!
First stop, reptiles. Yay! Parker was all about the reptiles.
Checking things out.
Guess what Parker wants for his birthday? Yep, a snake. I don't think so Mr.
Ava had the best seat in town, Grammie's shoulders.
Parker was so so so excited to see a Komodo Dragon up close. He thinks that these are the coolest lizards ever. Just a fact, they can run as fast as a human and they have short little legs. Creepy.
The zoo had a prehistoric turtle. It was pretty cool.
Check out the claws on that sucker!
The flamingos, so pretty. This was one of my favorites. I need a pink bird in my yard and not a cheap plastic one.
the "whooo whooo's" that is what Ava kept calling them. She was pretty excited to check the monkeys out.
Miss Hannah and the monkeys. Too bad the monkey's weren't performing, they preferred napping instead.
This is why Hannah came to the zoo, the baby hippo. That is all she talked about for days before we went. It was pretty dang cute.
She was in heaven.
Watching the baby hippo play with its mama.

Baby doing her yoga stretches. She is talented.
Ava getting a ride from Papa.
We checked out the Polar Bears. They are massive.
The kids loved watching them swim underwater.
We had to get a picture of their paws, they are HUGE!
Fact: Did you know Polar Bears skin is black. Weird huh? I know you are loving our National Geographic Facts we are popping in here and there.
They had a bunch of Polar Bear statues out front and this is the size of a real polar bear baby. Ava was obsessed with it and kept petting it and yelling, "Baby grrrrrr."
Family pic time
Hanny had to get her pic taken with the baby.
This picture makes me laugh, it looks like the polar bear is holding Ava. They are best friends.
Every statue we saw the girls had to sit on it or stand by it and of course they had to have their picture taken with it.
Look at our little seals. Lookin' good babes!
The pandas were definitely one of our favorites. Not only were they cute but they were huge.
Man these kids are flippin' cute!
Parker said it looked like he was playing a flute.
Ava kept yelling, "a num num. Mom a num num" She was loving that the Pandas were eating their "Num Nums."
Loving the Zoo!
