San Diego Zoo: Part 2

Part two of the Zoo!
There were these gigantic statues of life size animals in prehistoric time.  Parker was in heaven, he said he wished tigers were this big now. Um, no.
Parker could have climbed and climbed and climbed all day on this elephant.
They were so excited to see this sloth, they thought it was Sid from Ice Age for sure.
The big old prehistoric bird statue that PK just had to sit on.
 Jas and his girl.
More statue climbing.  This would have entertained them forever.
The zoo has these cutouts all over and we had a good time putting our faces in them.  I love how serious they both are.
 Me and Hanny
 We checked out the Elephants

PK and Hanny pretending to be carried off by this bird or as Jason says, "a bird of prey."
One of the tour guides said the lions choose to stay inside their "master bedroom" in the air conditioning rather than go outside.  I would too!  It was flippin' hot outside.
We got to watch this big old boy eat some lunch.  The kids were mesmerized.
Blondie is always up for a picture with mom.
What Ava did most of the day, drink drink drink.
 The big old California Condor.
On our bus ride around the zoo.  Hallelujah that we got to sit down for about an hour.
Avas expression when she saw the Polar Bears from our tour bus.
Jas and PK enjoying the ride.

The giraffes.  The baby was the cutest.

Then we went to the petting zoo aka the disease infestation.  But, the kids really wanted to go.
Ava wasn't nervous at all and kept chasing the baby goats everywhere.
 Hannah also loved the babies.
Parker thought the animals were cool but that they stunk really bad.
After the petting zoo I made the kids take a sanitizer bath.
Ava would climb on any railing she could find.  She loved the birds.
The kids put their faces in these cutouts and we were dying laughing.

Ava was lovin' this turtle statue, she kept kissing it and hugging it.
 Nice face PK!
 Our little bugs.
A few pics with the porcupine.

See what I mean about climbing on the statues.
Then we checked out the meerkats.  They were super cute and were always hugging eachother.
This parrot was flippin' nuts.  It would scare people walking by and Ava thought it was the funniest thing in the world.  She would say, "Hello" to it and it would say, "Hello" back and she would laugh hysterically and it would bounce up and down.
This otter was such a show off, it was raised by humans so it wasn't shy at all.  It was doing flips and being crazy.  The kids loved it.

Parker and his stuffed animal Papa and Grammie got for him.  Hanny got a baby hippo and Ava got a panda.  The kids are still sleeping with them every night.
 Cheesers.
This guy has the life.  He sits all day and just chills.
Just a snapshot of this gorgeous flower I saw at the zoo.  The zoo was seriously amazing, beautiful and so CLEAN.  We had a great time and can't wait to go back!
