Batman, Snake Eyes and the Monarch Butterfly waited patiently for the clock to strike 6:00 p.m. They had their pumpkin buckets in hand. They emerged out on to the porch and looked up into the sky to see dark clouds rolling in.

They thought to themselves, it doesn't look to bad, there is still some sun and a little blue. Snake Eyes said to Batman, "I am sure we can make it to a few houses and get some candy." The Monarch Butterfly nodded in agreement.

Two minutes later the sky turned dark gray and the thunder started, the wind began to blow and the hail came down.

Batman, Snake
Eyes and the Monarch Butterfly, didn't even make it off the porch.

It hailed and it hailed. The wind blew and blew.

Batman was devastated. Snake Eyes thought the hail was awesome. The Monarch Butterfly did a hail dance on the porch and couldn't stop smiling.
But after a while the hail stopped, so Snake Eyes thought we might be able to try to go to a few houses....we had to cheer our little Batman up.

So off they went.

Success, Batman is happy!

The Monarch Butterfly is also smiling and happy!

In the end, it did turn out to be quite the spooky night. We had a scary storm and we even saw a ghost!
BOO!
