4th of July: Parade

It is a tradition every 4th of July that my family and extended family go to the Freedom Festival Parade. We have so much fun and the kids love it.
Yes, we do have to get up really early and yes we almost get heat stroke, but hey we are making memories right??
The kids don't seem to mind the heat, as long as they get a snow cone at the end.
Our little fam, posing for a picture.
Ava was awesome at the parade, she loved all the attention she was getting, all the drinks everyone gave her and she loved this little camping chair and could sit in it for hours.
Sweet Hannah. She loved the floats, the balloons and the bands. She was all smiles all day.
Jas and PK waiting for the parade. It is getting harder for me to take pictures of Parker. I guess the older you get, it is not cool for your mom to take a million pictures of you, I don't know why not?? Parker did have a lot of fun at the parade, he loved seeing the army men, the firetruck and the missionaries.

My sister Lindsey, her friends Drea and Casey.
These sweet girls camped out at our spot all night so we could have this sweet spot for the parade.
Thanks Girls!
Linz and Skish

Life is good for this babe.
The Gang. Love all my family!

J and PK sitting in the blasted hot sun.
Hannah loved the marching bands. She couldn't figure out why they were wearing pants and long sleeves shirts. She told me that they were probably going to melt.
We love our troops!
Give it up for the women in the army!
And of course Rise and Shout the Cougars are out!
We are die hard Cougar fans in my whole family, so our group was quite loud when the Cougar floats came by.
Cosmo. The kids were so excited to see him.

PK and Hanny were so excited to see our hometown marching band, Hannah yelled, "Mom take a picture, hurry!"
I think people around us thought we were crazy, because every time any float or vehicle came by representing the army, navy, marines, etc. My whole family went wild. We were on our feet, yelling and clapping.
We have a lot of army pride in our family!! God bless our troops!

The balloons were Avas favorite, she clapped and said, "ohhhh!" every time they went by.

The Tarzan float, Hannah thought this was awesome.
Here are the missionaries.
The Gang.
Little skish.
She was getting angry with her shoes. She highly dislikes shoes.
